Design Market Ghent Kouter 2010 / Tribute to Maarten Van Severen

Design Markt Ghent Kouter 2010 / Tribute to Maarten van Severen

Building on the success editions Design Markt Gent Vrijdagsmarkt and the much discussed IndoorDesignMarkt, Frederic Rozier, owner of gallery Design7 in Ghent, again organizes a vintage design happening. Location the historic heart of Ghent: Design Markt Gent Kouter on the 15th of May, 2010.

This 3rd edition under the title DesignMarkt again promises to be stubborn and absolutely innovative. Thus the concept of this outdoor event is fully crystallized around the theme: “Made In Belgium – Maarten Van Severen”.

A tribute to a contemporary icon of design: the Ghentish creator who died much too early: Maarten Van Severen. An international icon in the world of designers, experts and professionals. But little known and certainly not to merit appreciated and cherished by the wider public with an eye and a heart for the lasting beauty of an innovative concept.

For the concrete implementation of its DesignMarktGent Kouter  Rozier again leaves a clearly defined vision. His credo was also direct that for the previous editions: DesignMarkt is more than a collection of exhibitors. DesignMarkt is an experience. Relevant, accessible and spectacular.

- Discover the Maarten Van Severen Design Route along different stores like Vitra Point, Surplus and Gallery Design7 and the Design museum Gent.
